Vincotto

A dense smooth rich matured red wine and grape condiment. A natural flavour enhancer. Alcohol free and Free from all Colorants, or Additives (except for wine sulphites) Produced from a 2 year old Primitivo Dolcetto Naturale Sweet Red Wine, from the Salentine peninsula in the very heel of Italy. This is then boiled down to a dense syrup, blended with cooked red grape must and allowed to further rest for a number of months. A very versatile ingredient. Great on strawberries, chocolate and desserts, in meat sauces, in drinks with crushed ice, as light drink or appetizer , or with grappa or vodka in an alcoholic cocktail.
